(SLJ Activity 16 Stepup/normal task) MY AMAZING DAM

Hey viewers, today I made a Awesome Dam. I enjoyed making it and the hard thing was finding things that I could create my Dam with. The easy thing was building is because my dam was a circle. So I had to put everything in a circle. I added rocks/stone for the wall of Dam and then I added twigs grass and leaves to fell in the open spaces. I made a design of how I wanted it to look and tat was my stepup task for the Summer Learning Journey. I hope you guys like it enjoy!

  1. Kia ora Kali,

My name is Shannon and I’m from the Summer Learning Journey.

You’ve done a fantastic job explaining your blueprints! I particularly like how you have labelled each component and included different colours and shapes to make it more accurate! Ka pai!

I also really like how you have so accurately followed your plan! Your damn looks impressive. I do think it would work initially! The rocks and debris would slow down the water and maybe even stop it! I’d love to see it in action! Do you think it would be able to stop water from flowing out of it?

Maybe you could pour water in the middle and see if you can form a damn!

    Happy blogging!

    Ka kite anō,
    Shannon (SLJ)

  2. Hi Shannon,
It is me Kali, pouring water in the middle and seeing if it will stay in between the barriers is a Great Idea. I would love to do that but I will do it when I am free. I will share it on my blog so everyone can see the experiment! Thanks for asking!

    Nga mihi,
    Kali
